Aston
Martin Handbooks and Service Manuals
As an important constituent of their
Heritage Operations programme, Aston
Martin commissioned Mark Greer &
Associates to reproduce the range
of original workshop manuals and instruction
books for their older models; the
range covers cars from the DB4 of
the early 1960's through to the much
more recent V8 models. As would be
expected, some of the print runs have
been very low volume, which presented
MG & A with quite a challenge:
how to produce as low a number as
50 copies (in the case of the instruction
books) of a publication, to the best
reproductive standards, for a commercially
viable cost? The challenge was met;
as a result of MG & A's expertise
and special relationship with the
print industry, the books are once
again available from Aston Martin.

Austin
Healey Parts Catalogue
The first project completed under the auspices
of Mark Greer & Associates, the Austin
Healey catalogue bridged a difficult gap
in the catalogue range of Moss Motors. To
produce a catalogue for the 100, 100/6 and
3000 models giving coverage of 100% of the
parts was not an easy task, given the vast
number of changes wrought in the car's fifteen
year production life and the sometimes vague
nature of the original factory service publications.
The final product did, however, live up
to expectations and is regarded in a similar
light to the Triumph TR6 catalogue as the
definitive history of the parts fitted to
the car.

British
Motor Heritage Panelwork Brochures
|
|
|
A
range of four brochures describing,
for the most part, the sheet metal
side of BMH's range of products. Conceived
to reap the maximum benefit from the
BMH component inventory - if bodyshells
are being manufactured then every
constituent pressing could theoretically
be available. MGB, Midget/Sprite,
Triumph and Mini brochures were compiled,
each featuring the Mark Greer &
Associates' hallmarks of factual accuracy
and usability.

In
2001, EBC Brakes came to Mark Greer
& Associates wanting a CD Rom
based electronic parts catalogue listing
their range of brake linings and discs
for sale in the North American market
place. MG & A responded with a
comprehensive electronic look-up catalogue,
which also contained exhaustive technical
information and useful features such
as pop-up full size illustrations
of brake pads, to aid recognition.
Brake parts for cars from 35 manufacturers
were included, each accessible by
choosing from on-screen options of
vehicle manufacturer, model and year
consecutively.

Classic CD Rom Original Parts and Service
Manuals |
More recently
Mark Greer & Associates have diversified
into electronic catalogues; for example,
the owner of a classic Jaguar XJ6 may
now opt for the XJ saloon catalogue
on CD Rom rather than as a book, if
desired. Running parallel to this has
been a project to transfer all of the
original Jaguar and Daimler parts and
service manuals onto CD Rom. This has
created widely available and conveniently
packaged original publications - the
advantages for the classic Jaguar owner
being that a CD is easier to store than
bulky sets of books
and that printed-off pages may be
taken for use in the workshop instead
of sullying a prized original publication.
Reproduction of both graphics and
text on the CDs is of a very high
quality, and the PDF format ensures
their user-friendliness.

| Jaguar
XJ6 & XJ12 (Series I-III) Parts
Catalogue |
|
A
challengingly comprehensive publication
for Jaguar Heritage encompassing all
models in the classic XJ saloon range,
this catalogue is a 'rolling project'
due to the complexity of its subject
matter. The first print run in 2000
was for a 76 page catalogue of engine,
cooling and exhaust components plus
body panels. The second edition, expanded
to 128 pages, added fuel systems and
road wheels, plus many external and
internal body fittings. The third
edition is, at time of writing, in
preparation.

Jaguar
XJ-S (1975 - 1991) Parts CatalogueThis
is the latest milestone project from
Mark Greer & Associates. Another
'rolling project' like the XJ saloon
catalogue, this publication has been
produced in stages because of the
enormous time and resource required
to describe and illustrate all the
changes and variations wrought in
the life of the model. The completed
catalogue was launched to much acclaim
at Techno Classica Essen in Germany
- April 2003. Running to 272 pages,
it is the definitive guide to parts
for the pre-facelift XJS, whilst also
offering many aspects of technical
and production information to support
and guide owners of the cars. The
catalogue will without doubt find
use with all Jaguar specialists and
generate enthusiasm and interest for
the Jaguar XJS across the classic
car world.

Triumph
TR5, TR250 & TR6 Parts Catalogue
Earning the title of being the greatest
achievement in the industry to date
in terms of parts catalogues (
until
the Jaguar XJ saloon project is completed!),
this is the definitive documentation
of component usage on the six cylinder
TR models in fine yet clear and concise
detail. Equally as notable is the
fact that this catalogue was created
twice, concurrently, incorporating
contrasting layouts, formats and products
unique to two clients: Moss and Rimmer
Brothers.
